Rylee is One Year Old!

I can't believe my Smilee Rylee is One Year Old today!  The time has just flown past.  I am sad that she is growing up so fast.  She weighs 21 pounds, and her 3 1/2 year old sister weighs 32 pounds! Can you believe it?  She is no small fry.  She still Looooves her food, but she's been teething and hasn't had quite the appetite she usually has.  Her new favorite fruit is peach.  She slurps them up right from the table.  She is eating regular cereal now, and tries so hard to use a spoon.  She is drinking whole milk, and she is getting really good at drinking out of a cup.  She hasn't figured out that she has to suck on the sippy cup, though, so there is at least one spill a meal.  Sigh.  Whenever someone says goodbye, in real life or on tv, she waves.  It's so cute.  She really wants to talk on the phone, but hasn't started saying actual words yet.  I thought she said banana, she says mama, but I think that means food, and she has said dada, but she is not consistant at all, and we are not sure if she knows what she's saying or not.  She is ever so close to walking!  She can stand, and she tries to take steps, but she falls down a lot.  Soon, I think!  She is as cuddly and cute as ever, and we love our little One Year Old!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RYLEE!!!

Rylee is 11 Months Old!

This little baby girl is rapidly becoming not a baby anymore.  :(  She has 12 teeth, which you can see most of in this picture, and I think  4 more are coming in right now.  She is cruising around furniture, having a blast.  She is a cuddly snuggly bug and loves her mommy and daddy, and will fight her sister for our laps.  She looooves to swim and wants to just take off on her own.  Maybe she will swim before she walks!  She no longer tolerates baby food unless we let her just play with it.  Her current favorite food is muffins. She demolishes them.  It is quite a mess.  She also loves blueberries and chicken.  She has a perma-bruise on her head where she just keeps falling.  She is rediculously happy most of the time, unless her sister is bugging her.  Then she SCREAMS!  She loves to clap and ride around in daddy's arms and point the way she wants to go.  She always wants to be outside and cries when she has to come in.  She has quite a tan, which makes me sad.  I was certain she said her first word, nana (banana) but she hasn't said it since the two mornings in a row. Other than that she makes a LOT of noise.  She is still a pretty good sleeper except when she has an ear infection or her teeth are bothering her.  She is an absolute joy.  She is precious.  We will be celebrating her first birthday here soon, I am so excited, and yet sad that she will be one.

Rylee is 10 Months Old!

My little Rylee is almost one year old.  Time sure does fly.  This month Rylee is obsessed with pulling herself up on everything- people, furniture, walls, boxes, whatever is there.  She will be walking soon, I think.  She is also obsessed with climbing up the stairs.  She doesn't know how to get back down yet, though.  I will take her back down to the bottom and she crawls back up again.  So funny. I think she's getting some more teeth, too, hence the drool in these pictures.  She takes her food very seriously, and will give something due consideration and try it again if she doesn't like it at first.  There is only one thing she hasn't decided to like after a couple trys, and that is pineapple.  She didn't like blueberries at first, but she kept trying them and now she loves them.  So maybe next month she will like pineapple, we'll see. She's also back to sleeping like an angel, she goes right to sleep.  The one thing that is hard now is changing her diaper.  She hates to be put on her back and she will immediately squirm right back around.  She is our little darling!

Rylee is 9 Months!

It was really hard to get the picture this month because...she can crawl now!  She has finally figured it out.  It is so cute to watch her move wherever her little heart wants to go!  I have to be careful of what I leave on the floor, now.  At least we wont have to have temporary gate like we did with Erin at first.  We still have the ones we bought for her.  Good thing, cuz this baby is mobile!  She has eight teeth now.  She still LOVES food, I haven't found anything she doesn't like, although there are a few things that aren't her fave, she still will eat them.  She has recently decided she loves avocado and olives.  She is having a really hard time taking naps because she can move, she hates to be on her back for any amount of time, so I've resorted to having her sleep in the car seat.  She is as adorable as ever!  Yesterday we spent about a half hour passing a brush back and forth, she thought this was hilarious! She is starting to pull herself up onto tables and chairs, she has really strong legs!  She loves taking baths with her sister or by herself, and she still thinks Erin is the coolest person on the planet!

Rylee is Eight Months Old!

Our little Baby is growing up so fast!   In this picture you can kinda see all 6 of her teeth.  She is eating and chewing like a pro- she loves food!  She finally got to sink her teeth into some real food.  She's even tried hamhock and bean soup!  She loved it!!  She can roll over on her front and back (on the bed, not the floor) and she is scooting backwards.  She talks all the time, her favorite thing to say is "ya ya ya" very very loudly.  She is so Darling!  She still loves her sister and thinks she is the coolest person on the planet.  She wants to be included in everything and protests very loudly if she is not.  She is getting tired of her binky, maybe she will give it up on her own.  I keep telling her she can take all the time she wants to get bigger and older, but she doesn't seem to be listening!

Rylee is 7 Months Old!

I was not particularly on the ball last week. So this picture is actually 7 months and 2 days. What can ya do.

This is also her St. Patty's Day picture.  We did nothing for St. Patty's this year. 
Rylee is such a joy to be around for the most part.  She is starting to get opinionated, which makes it a little more difficult, but she's still a doll.  She has had several colds over the last couple months and I think she's still teething.  She has learned to roll over and can sit by herself pretty well unless the cat or something else knocks her over.  She LOVES that cat.  She gets all hyper whenever she sees him.  Cute.  She tries to talk and moves her mouth in the funniest way, she says "ya ya ya" and "ba ba ba" and sometimes "da da da".  So dang cute!  We've started feeding her some solid things like toast, and she loves it.  She loves cranberry sauce, though I'm not sure she's supposed to really eat that.  She is starting to try to crawl, and she scooted backwards the other day!  She's getting big too fast.

Rylee is 6 Months Old!

I was so excited to get to the 6 month milestone so I could get pictures!  I LOVE professional pictures!  These, however, are not.  I couldn't decide which one to post, cuz the first one is adorable but the second one shows her teeth!  Way cute.  TMI ALERT:  I love the teefers, but not so much when she's nursing. (ouch)
Rylee is sitting pretty well these days, though she does take a nose dive very often.  This makes her mad.  She is not happy being immobile.  She wants to MOVE.  She also gets mad when she can't have our real food.  She yells and screams so much that we can't eat real food in front of her.  She can't stand to be on her belly, so I don't see her crawling any time soon!  She also has a really bad cold right now, it's very very sad to hear such a big cough coming out of such a tiny body!  She really enjoyed her Valentine's mail, cute cards that were very tasty!  Everything goes in her mouth and she is very grabby, her hands are always out in front of her getting anything in reach and sticking it in her mouth.  Oh, and she's SO CUTE!!

Rylee is 5 Months Old!

Rylee is getting so big so fast!  This month she is really starting to develop a personality.  She laughs and talks all the time, even babbling in her sleep.  It's really cute, I even have to smile when she's doing it a 5 in the morning.  She thinks her sister is the most hilarious thing in the world and laughs her head off at her whenever Erin pays attention to her.  She can almost sit up all by herself.  She started eating Rice cereal, and she is really excited about that.  She is wearing 6 to 12 month clothes already, although she still wears 3-6 month socks.  Love those tiny feet!  She is in the 95th percentile for height and weight.  She's my big girl! Plus, she now has a tooth!  It's just barely poking out, but it's definately there!

I did get a picture of her smiling, but it was very similar to last month's picture, so I thought you'd enjoy a different expression.  Rylee is so happy all the time, except from about 6 pm to 9 pm.  We think she has acid reflux, like her sister, and by that time of night it finally is too much for her to take smiling.  Poor kid.  But otherwise she is still our smilee Rylee!  She laughed for the first time this month; she thinks her daddy's face is hilarious.  I love to listen to her laugh.  It is the best sound (other than her sister's laugh, too.)  She is trying hard to sit up on her own, but can't quite do it yet.    She loves to watch her sister and smiles, laughs and talks to her, too.  I think they will be great playmates in a few months, but Rylee, don't get there too fast!

I managed to catch that smile on camera! Isn't she adorable! She is our Smilee Rylee!! She will always smile back at you! She is getting good at holding her head up, but still doesn't like tummy time too much. She adores her older sister and she really wants to join in Erin's crazy antics. Tyson also thinks she really really wants to eat the food she watches us eat! She is trying very hard to talk and she makes noises all the time.  She is so loveable and cuddly I could just eat her up!!
