Fall Festival!! (or- fabulous fall 5)

So I decided to throw a fall festival in honor of how much I love fall. We had five activities at our fabulous fall festival:

Eating:

Erin plopped herself right down at the home made rootbeer cauldron and stole Grandma's cup. She really loved that rootbeer.

Tyson being his usual grumpy self.

a Fish Pond:

Grow your own mummy is always popular!

Pumpkin Throwing:

We just chucked pupmkins across the yard. We will have wild pumpkin plants all over next year!

Dancing:

Erin absolutely loved the dancing. We played a game where we stop the music and everyone has to freeze, she got it and froze with everyone else, except she was laughing her head off while she was "frozen". It was really fun.

Bobbing for Apples:

This was my favorite activity. It was hilarious watching the kids try to get those enormous apples without touching them. Of course, there was some cheating involved, I do believe.

I think Erin took a bite out of every apple, then put it back in.

Annie says she got this apple with only her mouth. The jury is still out.

This is my favorite picture, Brett is completely soaked, all to get an apple. They must have been good apples!
We had a blast at our fall party! Thanks for coming everyone!!!

Fabulous Fall 4

Black Island Farms is one of our favorite fall destinations. It's full of fun fun fun!

Erin and Dad in the "left turn only" straw maze. She cheated by going over the walls.

She loved the horse swing, especially when Dad got on with her.

Erin is a pro slider now-a-days. She absolutely loved these huge slides.

She had a little trouble getting out of this one, she tried to slide down instead of crawling through, she's used to slides.

Dad had a little trouble, too!

This is Erin's favorite part of BIF. This is going to be a traditional photo every year. We have an almost identical one from last year. At some point I will make a time line with it.

She saw some other kids burrying themselves, and wanted to try it. It was very funny.

Here's the "hay ride". This is my favorite part cause you get to pick your own pumpkin out of the whole field. I love the look on Tyson's face, it's a moment of tenderness, caught on film. Hopefully we can go here every year, it's always very fun!!

Fabulous Fall 3

So you're probably sick of looking at pictures of Erin eating, but that's the easiest time to take a picture of her. Another Fall tradition around here is that on October 1st, we eat Count Chocula cereal. I've come to realize that it is actually disgusting, but I still get it. Erin only liked the marshmallows. She did have fun, though.

Fabulous Fall 2

We went on a fabulous fall walk with Shylo and Annie. At first we were afraid there weren't going to be any fall leaves yet, but then we went down to this dry stream bed and there they were! Beautiful yellow fall leaves!!

Shylo did not want her picture taken, but I did it anyway.

She took this beautiful picture of Annie, she's a better photographer than me.

Erin was a little scared of this "hut" someone made.

Tyson's trying to get her to walk to me, so I can take a good picture.

Then we threw some leaves at her, and she thought it was really fun.

I guess she was hungry. This joint grass looked good enough to eat. People say I'm a laid back mom. Do you think it's true?

Fabulous Fall 1

I LOVE FALL!

There are so many fun things to do in the fall when it finally cools off so I can actually go outside. Although that did not actually happen til about a week ago, we still did the fun fall stuff.

It was a little early, but Erin and I went to the start of the witch festival at Gardiner Villiage with Jessica and "Ammie" (that's what Erin calls Ammon, it's sooo cute). The kids were'nt quite sure about the witch displays.

They kept looking at them like they were going to attack. I loved this frog one, the frogs were really cute, and it was in front of Sassy Babies, which Erin and Ammon totally ravaged after these pictures. It's a really cute store.

We put them up by the witch and they both just wanted to get off, it was funny.

Pony rides!! Erin loooves every animal, so we came here to go to the petting zoo.

Her favorite were the goats, they were the friendliest.

She just got right in with all the animals like she was one of them!!

Then she got right in the stream. Needless to say, her feet were filthy after that.

Ammon is more of a stay on the designated path kind of guy. It's quite hilarious how Jessica and I have children who are the oppasite of us.

It was a fun day! Look for the next Fabulous Fall post soon!
