Randomish

I just really wanted to share this cute pic of Erin wearing her daddy's shoes.

And here's some more of my garden.  I bet you really don't care about my garden, but I think it's really fun.  Here is a pic of our tiny cauliflowers, another crook neck squash and an acorn squash.  The cauliflower was really not good.  It was spicy hot.  Really wierd,  I don't know if I picked it too early, too late or what.  Maybe it needs fertilizer?  I've pretty much decided to bag it next year.  And the broccoli, too.  It never looked like broccoli.  And we probably only need one crook neck plant.  I don't think I can eat all of it, as no one else in the fam likes it.  Not even Rylee.  I cooked it with garlic, peppers, onions and basil yesterday and it was pretty tasty.  I googled recipes for it and didn't find much.  That was an adaptation of one of the recipes I found.  I think maybe the acorn was not quite ripe, or I cooked it to long or something.  I cooked it with butter and brown sugar and cinnamon.  It was tasty but a bit mushy.  Maybe I need to wait for frost or something.

Here is my overflowing garden!  It is so fun!!

Berry Princess

Our little Rye Rye looooves berries!   She just shovels them in.  She has been loving blueberries, having them every day for breakfast and she loves strawberries if I cut them right.  So I gave her a blackberry at Grandma's house, and it made a complete mess, but she loved it. So we decided to get some more for her and let her enjoy them in the tub.  What a mess!  She had a blast.

Then she tried a raspberry and I think they are her favorite!  She was gobbling them down.

She also likes other food besides berries.  Here she is eating a mmmmuffin, and some yummy taco meat.  You can't have enough pictures of her eating food, right?  She loves her food!

Squash

I was really excited about the first squash from my garden.  It was not good, however.  I think I let it get too big.  Plus it was bumpy, and looked more like a gourd than a squash.  Hopefully the next one will be better.  Erin has a Strawberry  Short Cake movie with fairy that makes the strawberries red.  She keeps saying that Margalo (the fairy's name) has come to the garden.  It's really cute.  We are having fun with our garden even though we don't know what the heck we are doing.

Rylee is 11 Months Old!

This little baby girl is rapidly becoming not a baby anymore.  :(  She has 12 teeth, which you can see most of in this picture, and I think  4 more are coming in right now.  She is cruising around furniture, having a blast.  She is a cuddly snuggly bug and loves her mommy and daddy, and will fight her sister for our laps.  She looooves to swim and wants to just take off on her own.  Maybe she will swim before she walks!  She no longer tolerates baby food unless we let her just play with it.  Her current favorite food is muffins. She demolishes them.  It is quite a mess.  She also loves blueberries and chicken.  She has a perma-bruise on her head where she just keeps falling.  She is rediculously happy most of the time, unless her sister is bugging her.  Then she SCREAMS!  She loves to clap and ride around in daddy's arms and point the way she wants to go.  She always wants to be outside and cries when she has to come in.  She has quite a tan, which makes me sad.  I was certain she said her first word, nana (banana) but she hasn't said it since the two mornings in a row. Other than that she makes a LOT of noise.  She is still a pretty good sleeper except when she has an ear infection or her teeth are bothering her.  She is an absolute joy.  She is precious.  We will be celebrating her first birthday here soon, I am so excited, and yet sad that she will be one.

Family Pictures

I was keeping these pictures low profile til Father's Day, cuz they were going to be presents. Then I just never got around to posting them. They are so cute! Mal Walker Photography took these for us. She is so nice and easy to work with. The first time we had them scheduled, the girls were all ready, hair done, no puffy eyes, etc. but then they had sprayed the orchard with fungicide. We had to reschedule. The reshoot morning Rylee had puffy red eyes and Erin would not let me do her hair. Ug. They turned out super cute, though. If you need a photographer, I recommend Mal Walker! Here's a link, for ya: malwalkerphotography She has really good prices on prints, too!
